La Giravolta Loft was born from our idea of hospitality, our travel experiences and our desire to share spaces and moments of exchange with our guests, seeing them as an opportunity for us and our daughters to grow. We live on the same property as the apartments but each accommodation has its own green area.
Origins
Our home has ancient origins, so much so that it appears in old maps from the 1700s.
It is precisely from a cartography of the period that the presence of our dwelling and the ancient 18th-century name of the street that skirts it, via di Giravolta, from which we drew our inspiration, can be deduced. Torre di San Quirico, later known as Torre dè Fescobaldi, gives its name to the hamlet in which the house is located. The hamlet of Torre has developed over the years around this ancient mill, which dates back to at least the 14th century and has seen the succession of various noble properties, gateway along Arno to the beautiful Villa Medicea dell’Ambrogiana and its large park.
